Group looking to promote, revitalize business community
NEWCOMERSTOWN — Newcomerstown Now!
Which is the identify of a new neighborhood improvement team that has been arranged to enable make up the downtown spot and revitalize the Newcomerstown business enterprise group.
Newcomerstown Now is manufactured up of a Board of Administrators and committees, dedicated to the revitalization of Principal Street. The group has been functioning with the statewide group Heritage Ohio.
Officers mentioned, “We embrace the Major Avenue tactic advertising Newcomerstown as a hometown local community and a Main Road that is a important section of our village.
“We will be following the Principal Street concepts that have been productive throughout Ohio and the state. The concepts are as follows.
“Organization — We persuade the cooperation of our downtown enterprises with the team as they are important to the development and good results of our Most important Street.
“Promotion — We are marketing Primary Avenue as a spot to shop, go to and devote excellent time in our group.
“Design — Our goal is to maintain and shield our background when enhancing the visual appearance of our downtown.
“Economic Vitality — We fully commited to enhancing Primary Road in a way that provides additional individuals into the spot that will raise the vitality of the community.”
Team officers reported Newcomerstown Now’s concentration is on the prospective of the downtown and to “bring forth a lively neighborhood that is just before us.”
Newcomerstown Now is planning a sequence of Next Saturday activities this summer months, starting with a block party on Saturday, June 11, from 5-8 p.m. in the Most important Avenue place.
The function will consist of tunes by Sean Carney from 6-8 p.m., a beer/wine yard, rooster dinners, little ones things to do and suppliers.

Mayor’s Place of work
Mayor Pat Cadle thanked volunteers from Kurz-Kasch in Newcomerstown for encouraging paint the pool at Cy Young Park.
This is the second year that volunteers from Kurz-Kasch have painted the pool, which is scheduled to open on Could 28.
